A Baby Sweater

This is a baby sweater for my 1st. grandchild Arlo. He is lovely and I miss him greatly as he lives to far away for me to see him very often. I hope that changes someday. In the meantime, I'll just keep those needles clicking to pass the time between now and when I see my sweet family again. I love you all.

Been Waiting Been Knitting

I have not posted anything as I have been waiting to receive a new camera in the mail. It took ever so long( over a week) but now I have it and can get back to the business at hand; blogging. I used my time wisely while I waited and knitted frequently. Hoooray! I am thinking of 2 sweaters I want to do. One plain and one Fair Isle. Plain for me and Fair Isle for my wonderful husband who never gives up on me. Thank you. I'm also working on a hat pattern for a hat I've knit a bunch of times but never wrote down the pattern. So when a complete stranger asked for the pattern I decided it was high time to write it and chart it. After all isn't that what long winters are for? I've also found a fab new knitting group on saturday afternoons at 12 which is great fun and even has free coffee, tea and food! What could be better on a blustery winter day in January? Here is a pair of Fair Isle wristlets I knit in pink and orange. I was inspired by Sasha Obama's outfit at the inauguration of her dad. Very cute!

Frog Tree, Fingerless, Fair Isle

These fingerless gloves are one of my projects at the moment. These are a great example of what happens when I( and maybe some other knitters out there) get an idea, pick some pretty yarn and just start knitting. A plan you say; why would I have a plan ? Who needs a plan ? Pattern? What pattern? Who needs patterns? I'm sure I can figure it out. No problem. Well, in all honesty these did not get me into much trouble and I love doing colorwork. Although ;they are a bold fashion statement, and I mean NOT subtle. Sometimes ;in fashion ,you better be ready with attitude , confidence, fearlessness, beauty(comes from inside) and guts to pull something off. Do these gloves warrant all of this? Probably not, but I bet someone could pull them off on the catwalk. Hey I can dream.
